I have tried all of the fixes to get flash to run with no luck. it seems to install ok but nothing works in either IE or Firefox

What OS are you running?  Do you see an animation or version number displayed on this page: Flash Player Version

Next, what files do you have listed in these two folders?

c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash

c:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash (only available on 64 bit systems)

You only have the Firefox plugin installed; is it enabled on Firefox?

For IE you need to install the ActiveX download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe
