Hi guys, I want to replicate this and assume it's an after effects project.  Any ideas?

Look up any Earth/ Globe tutorial. The second map is just a copy of the same map texture scrolling through e.g. by ways of Motion Tile, slightly distorted with an effect liek Optics Compensation or whatever. Realyl super simple stuff.

Get a map of the world from just about any source.

            Drag it into AE

Create a new solid in AE and apply CC Sphere

Apply your map of the world to the CC Sphere layer and animate rotation

Put the map of the world below the animated globe and apply the Motion Tile. Animate offset

Add an adjustment layer between the rotating globe and the map layer and add Optics Compensation, Bulge, Mesh Warp or about any other distortion you want. There are a bunch of options.

            You're done.

Find a flat map of the earth here.

Thank you both so much.. I am very new to AE and been trying a workaround this in Maya.

              Much appreciated,
