1. Re: Why is the basic plan more than the premium
Randy Swineford Apr 2, 2013 9:06 PM (in response to baileyf)Plus is cheaper because you pay for 12 months upfront ($11.99 * 12). We give you a price break for committing to a complete year.
This is fairly common for subscriptions.

Brian1515 Apr 15, 2013 9:23 AM (in response to Randy Swineford)When being billed month to month do I have the ability to stop and start my service and not lose my work? My team travels and would only need the survey active on months that we travel.

What you say is obviously right. "Locking in" is often associated with discounts.
However, using Orwellian language ("basic" = much less service for dramatically more money - compared with "plus") is just not a good idea.
I get that Adobe wants to go from sales to rental, from products to services. You acheived your virtual monopoly position by making and integrating great software. Your biggest competition is usually your own earlier releases. I get it. You need cash flow.
But please, do not follow in the footseps of the other rentier companies like the telecommunications giants and big banks. They are soon hated for their opaque and disingenuous marketing and pricing games, regardless of the quality of their services.
The temptation must be great, but please don't do it! I have always loved Adobe, but recently, since your move to a rental model I'm getting nervous.
