PowerPoint 2010 and 2013 Flash Player Issues

I have been through EVERY single troubleshooting tutorial for possible problems as to why my PowerPoint program is telling me that I do not have Flash Player installed on my computer. I use Google Chrome, I run Windows 7, 64 bit, and I have tried it on both PowerPoint 2010 and PowerPoint 2013 from Office 365 and have the same issues for both. I tried to embed a video into a presentation, and the program tells me I do not have Flash installed. I have uninstalled/reinstalled proper/most updated versions of the flash player, I have disabled the automatic/connected plugin on Google Chrome to allow the other version I download run, and none of these options have fixed it. ONE time, I got the program to tell me I DID have flash player, but once I finally was able to use YouTube to insert a video, I could not PLAY the video because it said I did not have a new enough version of the flash player (even though everything I installed was the latest versions). I've tried it over and over in different ways/orders and I tried switching my default browser and I can't get it to work. Please help!
