    Robo Help crash

    tmgiovenco Community Member

I keep getting a crash when I try to generate a primary layout from RoboHelp 9. I get a message that RoboHelp has stopped working. On the Output view, I see:

      Starting Compilation...

      HTMLHELP preprocessor 9.0.1.232

      Compiling C:\Products\Alteryx\AlteryxSource\RuntimeData\!chm_tmp_folder_1\AlteryxHelp.chm...

      Preparing to create HTMLHELP...

      Cleaning output folder...

      Preparing files for HTML Help...

      Copying files...

      Updating files...

Then I get the message RoboHelp has stopped working. If I expand that dialog, "View problem Details," I see the following:

Is this only happening on this one project? What happens if you generate one of the supplied sample projects? If it is just this one project, did it ever generate successfully. If so, what has been added since then? Can you generate someother output (e.g. WebHelp) successfully? If not, you'll have to do some detective work to discover what is causing the project to choke.

I had two htm files that I created from a different program. I deleted those files from my project and was able to compile.
