1. Re: Can Revel be installed in Lightroom Web module?
Scott V Apr 13, 2013 5:20 PM (in response to Bent Nielsen)Hello Brent,
Please see the following instructions http://help.adobe.com/en_US/lightroom/using/WS2bacbdf8d487e582-46da1b6f13419e06a64-8000.ht ml
We have an FAQ post "How to upload photos with Revel" as there are screen shots of what you will see.
I would suggest that you install the Lightroom 4.4 update first. In Lightroom, click on the "Help" menu then select "Check for updates" If you have not done this already. Once that is installed, then make sure that you have the Revel 1.10 update installed. This is a must as this corrects a connection issue with Lightroom and Revel.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to do this?
Thanks
Scott

Bent Nielsen Apr 8, 2013 2:29 PM (in response to Scott V)Hello Scott
& thank you for your reply. This is my status:
I have made a subscription to Revel, LR is ver. 4.4, Revel is ver 1.10.
According to instructions, I should choose Revel in LR's Library Mode/Publish Services, but I only see Hard Drive, Facebook and Flickr. Could you advise, how to get Revel to show up in Publish Services?
Regards
/Bent.

Scott V Apr 8, 2013 3:06 PM (in response to Bent Nielsen)Brent,
On the left hand side double click on hard drive under "Publish Services" then do the following
- In the Publish Services panel on the left side of the Library module, click the Adobe Revel connection Set Up button.
- In the Lightroom Publishing Manager dialog box, look under Account and click Authorize.
- Follow the prompts to allow Adobe Revel to communicate with Lightroom.
I played around with it to figure out different features of publishing Lightroom to Revel.
Once you have it set up then can create a new collection/abum by control clicking on the Adobe Revel. Then you can add image from your hard drive by dragging and dropping them into an album.
Then select "Publish" when you are done. Log in to your Revel account and check to make sure the images show up.
You can add watermarks to the images if you like.
Let me know if you have any other questions
Thanks

Bent Nielsen Apr 12, 2013 1:49 AM (in response to Scott V)Thank you, Scott:
Yes, it's working nice and dandy!
Only one hassle: Each photo's Caption information is visible in Revel, - I would like to publish without text in photo, wondering if there is a setting to do so - or if I have to manually delete the Caption info?
Best regards
/Bent.

Scott V Apr 12, 2013 9:11 AM (in response to Bent Nielsen)Bent,
Did you have the option to add a watermark checked in the Lightroom publishing manager? To add captions then you add those in Revel.
Here is a screen shot of what you will see when viewing a single image and adding captions to your image. This is image is from the Revel app for mac.
If needed post a screen shot for me to see
Thanks

Bent Nielsen Apr 12, 2013 9:22 AM (in response to Scott V)Thanks for your reply.
Watermark option was turned off.
What I would like is to NOT have captions, and captions seem to be added automatically when publishing through Lightroom (from raw files and TIF). From Lightroom I have exported a bunch of raw and TIF files to JPG, and those show up in Revel without caption, so maybe this is the way to go.
All the Best
/Bent.

Scott V Apr 12, 2013 11:09 AM (in response to Bent Nielsen)Bent,
I am curious of what caption was displayed. Was it just the filename of the image? Currently Revel only supports the jpg file format. We are working very hard to deliver more capabilities and expand onto new platforms, devices, and file formats.

8. Re: Can Revel be installed in Lightroom Web module?
Bent Nielsen Apr 12, 2013 12:57 PM (in response to Scott V)Hello Scott:
When publishing through Lightroom, the text in the Caption Box is displayed on the images in Revel (see enclosed).
What I have turned to do is to export raw and tiff files to JPG's and then load the JPG's manually to Revel, - so I don't publish directly through LR. But it would be nifty if that would work. Also, when publishing through LR, the order of the images is somewhat messed up and the images are listed in opposite order. When loading manually to Revel, the images stay in order.
Best regard/Bent.

Charlie.D Apr 17, 2013 9:52 AM (in response to Bent Nielsen)The Lightroom team actually wrote the Revel publish plugin, and may have more info, or may be able to take your post as a feature request. I'm moving this thread over to the Lightroom forum to help it gain attention there.
