Are you patched to 8.0.1?
This may also be an indication of an "illegal" character in a file or folder name, or that you don't have the required access permissions either to a file or to the location where you are attempting to save the package.
Yes I am using InDesign 8.0.1 does that mean I'm patched to it?
I got a new MacBook Pro and migrated the InDesign files from my old computer to my new one. Would the migration change file or folder names? I was able to package files on my old computer but I was using CS5.5.
Yes, that means you're patched.
Your problem is probably that you migrated. ID does not migrate well. Uninstall, then reinstall using the original installer (and re-run the 8.0.1 update).
I did not migrate CS6, I had it installed in my new computer. I just did the 8.0.1 update and still can not package.
Do you have any more suggestions? Thank you!
