    Import jpgs

    Heirloom Bob Community Member

I have RAW files that were edited on my laptop and the resulting jpg's were put into a subfolder for each date called Jpg Exports. I exported the catalogue and then imported on my desktop machine. All files imported just fine except:

The RAW files for two particular days imported just fine, but no jpg's. If I look at the file structure from Explorer, the jpg files are there but I can't see them from Lightroom. I try to imprt the jpg folder, the photos appear briefly with check marks to import and then they all "grey out" and I can't import.

Thoughts anyone? Does this mean that in Lightrooms "eyes" it thinks these are already imported so will not let me import again?

In your Lightroom preferences, make sure this box is checked.

Jim, this wasn't checked however I didn't have the problem with the other 12 folders of RAW photos, just these two. So how can I how can I get the two files of jpgs to appear in Lightroom now.

I'm not sure, because I don't shoot JPEG images hardly at all.  Go to the Library module and right click on the folders that are not showing JPEG images and synchronize the folders.  If that doesn't work, then you'll have to wait for someone else to help you.

It takes ten seconds to find out if this check box is the answer.

Perhaps your JPGs are named differently in the other folders

So, I'm just curious.  Will the JPEG images just show after the option has been changed?  Like I said, I don't shoot JPEG very often.
