Have you ensured that your photos are no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size?
Have you manually gone to Windows Update, selected Show Hidden Updates and downloaded the non-critical updates, which don't install automatically? Have you ensured you have the latest version of Quicktime?
Have you run Disk Cleanup and the Defragmenter software to clear your junk files?
Have you gone to Premiere Elements' Help file and checked for updates?

I'm now confused. PE11 .pdf says I can use images much larger than
1000x750. Why the difference please?
I'm giving you real world advice based on my 10 years using this program. Have you tried it yet to see if it can resolve your problems.
I do not have time to redo all that so I will put up with the crash. I can
still get the results I want. It just puzzles me why the Help document
would give you information you can't use - or that I can't understand
perhaps. I freely admit I am some what new to the program and do not
understand a lot of it. But I used Ulead MediaStudio for years and never
had these kinds of problems. Thanks for you help.
