media queriy and phone.css

From a fixed two column site already existing -

I've been building a smartphone.css and I'm working with the media queries - it is very helpful.

What about images? I have a 950px wide slider on the original desktop home page. I've not been able to re-size images using the css. Do I also need a phone layout. How do I create a separate layout of my website and set it in Dreamweaver? Or is there a way to resize images using the css3??

Can you stage your website and provide an URL? That way, the experts would be able to figure your problem better. Also, could you break up your questions into separate sentences, and elaborate a little?

If you have a slider (jQuery) plugin on your homepage, it has to be a 'responsive' plugin to be able to resize to a device width. Not all sliders are responsive.

In that case, you should probably consider replacing the existing slider with one thats responsive.
