Under the Playback option in Premiere Preferences, should be the Blackmagic Playback listing to checkmark. If you dont see that listed there then the Blackmagic install may have been installed in the wrong order. Please uninstall the Blackmagic software/driver. Restart and install again. That should then list the Blackmagic Playback option there.
Hello and thanks for your advice. I re-installed Blackmagic Desktop Video and that seemed to solve the problem up to a point where I can see Blackmagic Playback as an option now under playback preferences. However, when I add it as a playback device, nothing happens. I get a "no signal" on my monitor and Premiere's own playback freezes and does not play. When I play anything, I can see the sound levels moving, but the picture is frozen. Only when I uncheck "Blackmagic Playback" any video plays fine in the main interface.
I tried Blackmagic preferences in the Control Panel, but everything there seems to be set properly.
Though I fear I may have a faulty Decklink card, because it crashes Resolve as well, if I try to use it.
