    Tweens and actionsScript

    ThisIsAScreenName
I am trying to make a virtual time line using Flash. The user scrolls through time on the bottom by clicking and dragging (which I have implemented) and on top an animation of a map is shown with dots representing population. I would like the map to start zoomed in and pan out over time (which I also have implemented) and show dots appearing and disappearing appropriately (problem).

The problem is creating an animation within an animation and designating the frame at which they both should be based on user input.

When I nest the animations, the one on the inside ends up being inside a tween, where I'm not sure how to access it with gotoAndStop to set the frame. I'm also not sure how this would work with multiple tweens on the "root" animation.

      Any help would be appreciated.
