1. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
saxman1815 Apr 29, 2013 6:16 AM (in response to Kim Isola)Just to make sure I understand correctly, I can access any apps that I have downloaded to my machine without an internet connection? As long as I be sure to allow it to connect once per month to verify the activation?
It this correct?Thanks!

3. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
Mr. Chamberlain May 14, 2013 6:49 AM (in response to Kim Isola)Is there any way to submit a subscription license check before the 30 days interval?
For example, if I'm on the 29th day, but I know I'll be traveling somewhere away without internet connection in the days following, how can I continue using the Creative Cloud software offline without it getting blocked?
Thanks!

4. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
Jeff A Wright May 14, 2013 9:48 AM (in response to Mr. Chamberlain)Mr. Chamberlain we have discussed this topic in our FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#what-cc. Please see the following:
No. Your Creative Cloud desktop applications (such as Photoshop and Illustrator) are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.
You will need to be online when you install and license your software. If you have an annual membership, you'll be asked to connect to the web to validate your software licenses every 30 days. However, you'll be able to use products for 3 months (99 days) even if you're offline.

5. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
Jeff A Wright May 14, 2013 9:50 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)To add to that there is not a way to force the software to check our activation servers but it is a requirement that there be Internet access available within 30 days of the last check.
If you are planning on traveling often, with infrequent access to the Internet, then I would recommend getting the annual plan which will allow you to have up to 99 days offline as discussed in the FAQ.

6. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
andyg_photo Jan 19, 2014 1:41 AM (in response to Jeff A Wright)Hi,
I have a question regarding this topic, what happens if your computer can not complete activation (e.g no internet access).
Other than "we will warn you when you launch the application", can this warning be dismissed and will the application still launch and fully function as normal?
I'm also concerned about travelling to a location with no internet access on the 29th day of the activation cycle, and not being able use an application the following week.
Does the "Photoshop Photography Program" (PS + LR) available with annual membership (or can switch to annual membership if currently on monthly) to get the 99 day grace period?
Thanks.

7. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
andyg_photo Jan 19, 2014 1:54 AM (in response to andyg_photo)Activation will take place once every 30 days for a subscription license check. If you are not online for 30 days, your product will tell you to connect to the Internet. In the event that we cannot activate the product, we will warn you when you launch the application. Note that blocking access to the activation server will prevent the app from launching.
If my software activates on Day 1, and I have internet access on Days 2 to Day 28, but no internet access Day 29 and I decide to travel for 1 week to somewhere with no internet access, will I be locked out of my software on Day 31?

For what it's worth, for people that might be interested, I contacted Adobe staff via online chat, and they confirmed, that although you can get "up to" 30 days of offline use, if you have no internet access on Day 29 onwards, you can get locked out on Day 30. Yes, in other words, having no internet access can technically get you locked out of your software the following day, maybe even on the same day, if it 30-day activation date happens to fall on the date you leave for travel.
There is no way of getting around it I was told.
On the other hand, the "Photographer Package" of PS and Lightroom, is considered a annual subscription, which is paid monthy, so you get 99 days grace for that (which means min. 69 days offline use), which is better.
But I feel for those not on annual subscription, who are on monthly subscription, knowing they might be locked out of their software if they lose internet connectivity for just a day or two...

9. Re: Is an Adobe ID and activation required to use my Creative Cloud membership app?
Jeff A Wright Jan 21, 2014 8:27 AM (in response to andyg_photo)Andyg_photo if you are on a annual plan you have up to 99 days even if you are offline. If you are on a monthly plan then you will need to be back online within 30 days to validate your membership. Please see message #4 which discusses this topic.
