AE CS6 v 11.0.0.378 Rendering 282 frame composition takes 192 Hours. I have tried many optimization settings.  All other software closed.  Comp has rotobrush, drop shadows, 12 layers of .r3d footage and stills.  RAM preview occurs slowly.  I have tried Multi Frame processing on and off.

AE Memory:  Installed 18GB, RAM reserved 6 GB, When Mutiprocessing II have tried various settings nstalled CPUs 8, CPUs reserved 6(4,2), RAM allocation 3GB(2, 1.5GB).  I have tried Exporting QT 422, 422HQ, 4444, Animation, resizing to HDTV 1080

      After Effects v1, Early 2008 Mac Pro3,1, 2 x 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 12MB L2 Cache(per processor), Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63), 18 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM, Bus Speed 1.6GHz, Nvidia Quadro FX 4800 1792MB QT v10.1 & 7 pro, 4 internal HDs from 1-3TB, no external hardware.

      All RAM   Speed:     800 MHz

      DIMM Riser B/DIMM 1: Size:     4 GB  DDR2 FB-DIMM

      DIMM Riser B/DIMM 2: Size:     4 GB  DDR2 FB-DIMM

      DIMM Riser A/DIMM 1: Size:     1 GB DDR2 FB-DIMM

      DIMM Riser A/DIMM 2: Size:     1 GB  DDR2 FB-DIMM

DIMM Riser B/DIMM 3: Size:     Empty

DIMM Riser B/DIMM 4: Size:     Empty

      DIMM Riser A/DIMM 3: Size:     4 GB DDR2 FB-DIMM

      DIMM Riser A/DIMM 4: Size:     4 GB  DDR2 FB-DIMM

The comp is using 4 layers: 1-.r3d rotobrushed character 2nd layer duplicated using dropshadow only, 3rd layer is a still, 4th layer is a still backplate.
