Can you show us a screen shot of what yopu mean by "overspilling"?
One way is to create the path you desire--the wavy lines--, size your image and then cut your image (ctrl/cmd + x), select the path and use Edit | Paste Into.
You can also select the path you created and simply place your image into it. You'll then likely need to scale the image.
Yea I've already tried that and sure it constraints the image within the stroke but it overlaps on the outside when I change the stroke type to wavy and has the small white gaps inside always, even when I make the image inside bigger :/
Draw your path (are you drawing it in Illustrator? Expand the appearance), then Place the image inside it, using it as the frame.

Ah, you are using the Wavy line style. It does work properly on an actual drawn line.
Fastest means is to copy the frame to Illustrator. Release clipping mask. Delete the rectangle from the mask. Select the wavy "frame." Copy and paste back to ID. Paste your image into it.
Take care, Mike
Left, pasted into an ID frame with wavy line effect. Right is the above procedure.
Cheers Mike, worked like a treat, exactly what I was after
