We're having trouble with a team using both Mac & Windows laptops on a CQ project, and I've narrowed it down to the vlt:mime-type being application/octet-stream for less files. This results in the line endings set by vlt on checkout not being the platform native style, which causes git to think the files have been changed on checkout when they haven't.
So my question is, if I set the vlt:mime-type to being text/plain will this only be of interest to vlt ? Will this have impact on anything else or will it simply be limited to setting the line endings & merges with vlt ?
Also, where are the default mime type for vlt configured ? Can I change them so less files are set as text/plain from now on ?
Add this missing mime type to Mimetypes.js & should help.
less -> text/css
woff -> application/x-font-woff
eot -> application/vnd.ms-fontobjec
Whereabouts does Mimetypes.js live ? Is it within the JCR repo ?
5.6 should already have it . Please add at http://<host>:<port>/crx/de/js/CRX/util/Mimetypes.js & verify.
