What kind of link? Adobe Acrobat doesn't use Java.
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it very much!
I am really bad with computers, I unfortunately cannot give details, this
is just the sequence that lead to fonts going wrong. The download
originally happened in Elsevier publishing article submission page
(Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta; perhaps you know what system they use).
It might be that it was adobe based some other program that I needed to
download (or even update)... I already called to to computer center here at
the university of Ottawa and they wouldn't know what to do.
I attached a picture with the same document open in adobe reader and
acrobat pro. Thus I cannot use my acrobat pro anymore.
Thank you very much
For attaching pictures use the camera icon of the forum.
I have tried to attach the picture about 10 times now at different times (it should be right size, only 90 KB and 432x542 pixels), but every time I get this message:
An error occurred trying to retrieve data from server. Please try again in a few minutes. Error Code: Object doesn't support property or method 'createContextualFragment'
I don't know how to set an image to internet (and to create a HTML for it), I tried to create .ai; .pdf and all sorts of other types of the image, but nothing works. I also tried to put that image to facebook and download from there, but does not seem to work either. I am so sorry... but only thing you would see in the picture is that the fonts are really off (e.g. t would have much thicker vertical than horizontal bar; even if it should be continuously same and is correct when viewed in adobe reader). And I should somehow fix that
Really, there are so many possibilities; we need to see that picture. There seems to be something wrong with the forum picture thing which is a great pity, but you can share the picture with another file sharing site and let us know the URL. Or you could put it in a PDF and load the PDF to Acrobat.com (but you would need to make sure that other people could read it).
My friend helped me with the problem, so it is solved now... thank you for
your attention though!
