Is there a way to import a Photoshop PSD file with an alpha channel into InDesign (CS5) in such a way that it keeps all its feathered edges, gradations, vignetting, etc.? It seems the only way I can import a PSD file is to allow InDesign to convert my alpha channel to a hard-edged, roughly-approximated clipping path.
Save as a Photoshop PSD file with transparency. Place that in InDesign. No alpha channel or clipping path necessary
Thanks. Seems to work when I create my own files from scratch. For some reason the files a client sent yesterday caused their images to show up in white boxes unless I selected the alpha channel as the "clipping path." I'm not sure what's different about their files.
