when I publish edge animate files to oam there is no correlation between final file size and that of the content. resulting in huge files. how do I fix this?
comp size is 960x350 publish to oam for upload to edge suite...
Essentially I have a project into which I inserted a jpg sequence, and some text layers from there I publish getting a 54mb file! SO I deleted the jpg sequence and publish again 54 mb then I deleted the text layers and inserted a square graphic as placeholder allowing me to publish an other wise empty comp...
The jpg seq is no larger than 2mb the text layers are using webfonts perhaps there is something going on there... Anyway I can't understand why Im getting massive files.. ANy ideas folks?
Hey Chris - the OAM is nothing more than a copy of the original files + a few extra configuration files.
I would double check the images folder and see how large the combined total assets amounts to.
Yeah, it was the location of my file, being located in the same folder as an image subfolder, meant that the oam was including everything within said image folder, Elements that were largely unused in the composition. Rookie mistake. Thanks for the help.
Super - glad it was resolved.
