When i try and publish and share i get a crash at 49% everytime.
What is on your Timeline at that point? Is there perhaps a gap in the Video, that is not covered by other Video on a higher Track?
I then tried to render first. However when doing this i checked render details and it says FREE DISKSPACE: 55.8gb
I have 55.8GB left on my c:/ drive.
However, the folder i save the render to is a 3TB drive.
Are you certain that the Render Files (in the Media Cache) are directed to your 3TB HDD? The default is "Same As Project," but can be changed to almost any location on the computer.
I would also look over this FAQ Entry on PrE Crashing & Hanging: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0. It starts with a checklist on getting PrE to run best, then goes into tuneup tips for the computer and the OS, and finishes with a troubleshooting guide, with plenty of tips and some tools to help track down the problem. Be sure to see "Clean, Lean, Mean Editing Machine," and "Finding Clues."
Thanks i'll check and get back.
Super fast response.
Just moved the file path names of the Scratch disks to my main drive. Tried to render and it crashed at 49%
When i go back into adobe premiere the scratch disk paths have changed.
I now just tried a publish and share by just rendering a workshare area of the video. i.e the video is 15 mins long. so i went to share around the 6-8 minute mark only. 50% into the video.
It crashed again. But this time 55%.
I would post a screen-cap of your Timeline, and then maybe identify the Clips, so that we know what the Clips are.
There is only one clip. Thats it. :S
OK, what are the full specs. of that Clip, and what are the Project's Settings?
Might be a clue in that info.
Its a 83.gb file 30 mins long.
captured using dxtory. using their codec.dxtory
I am trying to render with no codec. Would that not work?
I'm testing just a publish and share with the raw file and nothing else
Using publish and share setting of:
Where do i find the project settings? I'm new to adobe premiere!
Another thing i notice is:
When i change the file locations. they just revert back again.
I can't stop adobe from making files in "Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files". This is on my c:/ (58 gb left)
I did ask for adobe to be installed on my 3tb drive.
More update. Tried a publish and share of the raw file. Same again 49% cut off.
Then tried publish and sharing with lagarith lossless codec to see if that works.
Cut off at 49%
I can't seem to make the path folders stay on my 3tb drive!
I am putting :
all into one folder. It always just reverts back again to the c:/
Frame Rate: 30.00
Source Aduio: 44100hz 16bit stereo
Project Audio Format:44100HZ-32bit Floating Point -Stereo
Average data rate:45.8mb/second
pixel aspect: 1.0
Avi file details
contains 1 video track and two audio tracks
Audio track 1
size 308.11M bytes
sample size 16bits
audio track 2
size 0 bytes
Now just tried a render with only video and no audio.
Result: 49% -Premiere shuts down. ive tried so many combinations now i've running low on ideas!
Gotta keep spirits up!
Could it be dxtory making a PAL or NTSC file and my adobe premiere being in the opposite effect thing?
Just a thought. Could that be it?
There are several recent threads about crashes with Dxtory mateiral. This one contains links to some of the others: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5172696#5172696
Thanks for that info, and good luck,
