Unable to download installer

I'm having problems updating flash player.  I can get to the download section, and then it redirects to another page and says the installer should now happen but nothing does.  I don't have any other versions installed, including shockwave as my system was playing up.  I've tried all all of the help guides, update internet settings etc but no success.  I've even tried system restore but no luck.  Any ideas?
