Show screenshots of the layer stack and the artwork and provide more info about otehr things like effects you may be using...
Trying. Like I said it won't let me upload an image for some reason. Any other way to show you without using the insert image feature here? It seems to be something with the adobe servers it says. No effects applied. It's a compound path like the shape of a O with about 4 groups of objects inside of two varying colors. Nothing crazy. I've flattened stuff like this before with no problems. Just for some reason it's not working on this part as if a node or something is overlapping and causing a bug.
The way I (mis)understand it, you may do the destructive deed, with the Clipping Mask selected:
1) In the Transparency palette/panel dropdown list select anything but Normal (Multiply is fine),
2) Object>Flatten Transparency, just keep the defaults including 100% Vector,
This should reduce the size to the Bounding Box of the Clipping Path.
Well that works, but you have to select every broken clipping mask like that and change the transparency. Is this a bug since it's technically supposed to flatten without changing it to multiply? Thanks for the work around.
You are welcome, Halftones.
I am afraid this bug is a feature.
Is that sarcasm?
I am afraid so, Halftones.
In post #3, I pasted an old answer from my collection of repeated answers. I am unable to say how many years ago I wrote it for its first use.
