I downloaded a trial Dreamweaver 6 on my Mac, running system 10.8.3, and proceeded to try and do a tutorial from Adobe Inspire Magazine, but Dreamweaver starts crashing whenever I try to insert>image (specifically when typing in alt img name). Called Adobe and was told they couldn't provide me with support because I am using a trial version of Dreamweaver, but that all my problems would be solved if I restored the preferences. Went to:
and followed the directions for to remove preferences on Mac OS. Problem is, there isn't any "Dreamweaver Preferences" folder in either Application Support>Adobe or Library>Preferences.
Now What? Has anyone out there restored the preferences on a Mac with the trial version?

In Mac OS X (Lion and Mountain Lion), open Finder and press Shift-Cmd-Go. Type ~/Library/Application Support in the dialog box, and click Go. You should then be able to find the configuration folder
Thanks, you helped me find the Dreamweaver CS6 folder--but I don't see anything called "preferences" within. Dreamweaver CS6>en_US>Configuration> and within there lots of folders, the only one named anything like "preferences" is DVADialogPrefs>DVADialogPrefs.xml
Is this what I am looking for?
I have passed your query around. Let's see if anyone has an answer.
