    Encore CS6 Crashes - MSVCR100.dll

    muzicman82 Community Member

      Hi all,

I can't do anything in Encore CS6 except create or open a new project. As soon as I do that, I wait about 10 seconds, and the app instantly crashes. Any ideas? This is frustrating beyond belief.

      Windows 8 x64

      16GB RAM

I have already cleared all Adobe Preferences and nothing changes.

What is the specific error message? I see many references (in searches) to problems with installs/updates that damaged the adobe install.

Are any of your other adobe apps throwing the same error?

Sorry, meant to paste that. I might have figured it out too. I have a Matrox MXO LE w/ MAX (ExpressCard) but it was not inserted as I currently don't need it. That said, it hasn't crashed since I launched with it plugged in. I shouldn't NEED it plugged in for this to work.

I don't understand it either, but interference/changes from other hardware/software is one of the situations involved in similar errors. I suspect that an uninstall/clean/reinstall without the card might fix everything. But keeping the card in seems simpler! And I really don't know...

I see more of this issue in the Premiere forum.

I am having this problem too. Running Windows 7, 64-bit with 16GB Ram. A new install with the other Adobe CS6 programs working fine.

After further reading, running as adminstrator (even though I'm in the adminstrator account) seems to do the trick!
