Why on earth does DW CS6 not allow me to anchor the properties bar to the top where every other toolbar is? Where my eyes fall naturally on the monitor. Having it ONLY anchor to the bottom is so screwy. Yes, I know I can "float" it anywhere I want... that leaves me with part of the design area covered. And even more oddly, you can anchor it to the right or left side, which really freaks out the UI layout. The only place I CAN'T anchor it is the very place that makes the most sense. Wow.
Properties is not a toolbar. It's a panel. Like Files or Assets or CSS.
C F, ahhhh, an important distinction, and I do appreciate that. But FWIW, up until DW5 (so 4 but not 5) you could anchor that panel anywhere, in fact its default location on the UI was at the top. So there was some unfortunate decision by someone at Adobe that changed that.
I'm still on CS5.5 because I use an old 32 bit machine, but I keep the whole panel minimized most of the time. Working in code primarily, I have very little use for the Properties panel.
