Error on activation server - E auth not ready

I have dowloaded Adobe Dig edition and tried to open two books from acm into epub, yet they cannot be open on my Sony readeras they are protected by DRM.

I try to authorize my Adobe ID and always get the above mentioned error message. What shall I do?

Hello FranMilano,

For the Error : E_auth_not_ready,

Follow these steps,

1. Launch Adobe Digital Editions

2. Keeping ADE program active on your screen, Hold Ctrl+Shift+D keys.

     - you will get a prompt window to Erase Authorization (ADE 2.0) & Deauthorize (ADE 1.7.2)

     - Deauthorize ADE and Re-launch it.

3. Navigate to Help > Authorize Computer (in ADE 2.0) & Library > Authorize ( in ADE 1.7.2, usually you will be prompted to authorize when you launch the program ) .

If these are library books, you may need to install ADE1.7.2.

There are bugs in ADE2.0 that mean it will not operate correctly for Overdrive library books when used with several Sony readers (including PRS-350 and at least some others).

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

I have done what you suggested me, yet i cannot open the books I bought

because ADE says they are not open with the correct user...

can you give me another hint?

hi the error is: mistake with the licence, problems with licence server - e

lic already fulfilled by another user.

i had done what you told me and then authorized my adobe account, as

requested when opening back Adobe.

ADE sometimes gets into a semi-authorized state.

Remove all authorization using ctrl-shift-D while in ADE (cmd-shift-D on Mac), and confirm the prompt that comes up.

Restart ADE.

Try again to authorize ADE.

You will then need to authorize the Sonys as well, using menu/Library/Authorize Device to ADE with the Sony plugged in.
