Is there a way to get a gradient from InDesign CS6 into Photoshop CS6? I know gradients are handled differently in each, as "swatches" in ID, and as "gradients" in PS, but it seems like there must be some work around! The "Save swatch as an .ase file option only works for solid swatches. Thanks!
I don't think there's a "systemic" method to convert an InDesign gradient to a Photoshop preset.
AFAIK, you can only get the gradient-filled object into PS, (presumably for sampling or other manipulations applicable to your intent), and you'd do that by exporting from InDesign in a format that will honor or preserve whatever color management parameters might be in play. Seems the obvious choice for that would be PDF, which is not necessarily to say it's simple.
