Activating a trial with a DVD upgrade serial number ?

During the grace period, I purchased DVDs for CS 5.5 Production Premium Suite and was soon upgraded to the CS6 version (with new DVDs).

Since then I have re-build my PC and I now want to put After Effects and Photoshop on my new PC.

Can I download trials for these two programs and use my CS6 serial number for activation (this is the serial registered on my Adobe account)

I am simply trying to avoid installing CS5.5 and then loading CS6.

Standalone programs cannot be serialized with suite serial numbers. You will have to download the full Production Premium trial or install it from your DVD - whichever is more convenient for you. Generalyl there is never a requirement to actualyl install previous versions, only the serial numbers are required for verification.
