InDesign ignores range after updating linked Excel document

      Please help,

I linked an Excel file with certain data to InDesign. I placed them as "tabbed text" - sheet 1, range B1:B2.

When I update the Excel file and the link InDesign ignores that range and instead places whole table. (starting A1)

I do all my editing with styles but this bug seems to ruin my entire workflow. Is there a way to fix this? I have many things that I need to link like this and can not really devide it into hundred excel files.

      Thanks for your help.

EDIT: I found out that it happens only if I place it into frames that I have created by copying other frames (or frames defined by master). Is there a fix or something for that?
