Adobe flash won't work with 64 bit windows 7 and internet explorer 10

I have windows 7 64 bit on my PC and I just downloaded internet explorer 10 and adobe flash is giving me all kinds of trouble. I finally downloaded it but hulu.com keeps saying that it can't work with versions earlier than 10.something but I downloaded 11.something. Why?

You write that you "downloaded", but did you also install it?

What version does it tell you is installed at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_the_Flash_Player_ver... ?
