Did you install the latest Adobe air? You can download it here http://get.adobe.com/air/
Then download the Adobe Media downloader here http://www.photoshop.com/misc/membership-faq#downloader
Let me know if you are still having the issue
Thanks

2. Re: Unable to download archived photos
JimMN35 Jun 3, 2013 10:29 AM (in response to Scott V)Thanks for your quick reply regarding the opening of Adobe Media Downloader. I uninstalled both Adobe Air and Adobe Media Downloader and reinstalled both using the links you provided. I then click on Archive in the message received from Adobe Revel to download photos not initially included in their original download and receive the message: Please wait while the Adobe Media Downloader launches. Nothing happens after this message appears. I must be doing something wrong but can not determine what it is. Thanks for your help.Jim

What browser are you on. Often if users are running an old version of a browser then they have issues. Chrome and Firefox seem to work best. If you have an older version of a browser, try updating it or try another browser and see if that helps.

5. Re: Unable to download archived photos
JimMN35 Jun 3, 2013 10:29 AM (in response to Pattie F)Thanks for your suggestion. I was using IE10 and then installed Chrome browser. Uninstalled and re-installed both Adobe Air and Adobe Media downloader and still not able to open the downloader. Found that I can work around this procedure by opening Revel and using their tool to add the missing photos to the library. This method may be more time consuming but at least it works. Please share this reply with Scott and thanks to both of you for all your assistance.Jim Nugent

Amreek.. May 7, 2013 10:49 PM (in response to JimMN35)If you have correctly installed Media Downloader - you should see an 'Adobe Media downloader' Blue icon on your desktop. just double click it and it should launch the Media Downloader.

Scott V May 8, 2013 6:21 PM (in response to JimMN35)Are you logged in as an administrator?
Have you tried to right click the Adobe Media Downloader icon and select "Run as an Administrator" to see if it will launch?
Do you have other issues with launching software on your system?

10. Re: Unable to download archived photos
JimMN35 Jun 3, 2013 10:30 AM (in response to Scott V)Get same results when I try to open the downloader as an Administrator. A small screen pops up and reads "Adobe Media D" and has the appearance of an incomplete screen. When I click on it I get a message from Windows that it is still trying to open with the option to continue or cancel the process. Have not had any problems downloading software programs other than compatibility issues with Windows7

Amreek.. Jun 2, 2013 10:55 PM (in response to JimMN35)Try these steps
1. Close Downloader.
2. Delete this folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.px.Downloader.4C35C4D325D350FE0114230CBADCA 2DDD0AC8D25.1

Things should work correctly now.
