    Premiere Pro CS6 Crashing


      Premiere Pro CS6 has been crashing frequently, and for no apparent reason whilst trying to edit footage on the timeline. It looks like, regardless of what we are tryingt o edit, how many effects, it is still going to crash at a random point while trying to edit.

      After updating all NVidia drivers and CUDA drivers, I have decided to put the crash log up here to see if anyone is able to decipher it and let me know what is causing the crash.


      If anyone has any thoughts, they would be greatly appreciated.

          Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120, PCIe, 512 MB

          That card is under-powered for the hardware-accelerated Mercury Playback Engine.  If you've tried to get it working with hardware MPE, then that's a likely cause of the crashing.  Pr needs at least 1 GB of VRAM for hardware MPE.  Stick to software MPE and things may improve.




          PS - thanks for self-editing the crash log.  Too many times users will post the entire log, which makes the discusssion unreadable for anyone but a software engineer.
