How renditions getting created in DAM for an image

I could analye that when we add an image to the DAM it will create renditions for the image. I want to know how this is happening .Any help would be appreciable

This happens due to OOTB create image rendtion workflow.

The out of the box workflow that generates the renditions is named "Dam Update Asset". You can find this workflow listed under the Models tab at http://localhost:4502/libs/cq/workflow/content/console.html . Go to the Launcher tab and you will see 2 related launchers that begin this workflow when assets in the Dam are created or modified.
