Please try uninstalling in completely and install it once again.
Thanks for the reply. I tried the install route 3 times. Same errors every time. Our network admin set up Tomcat for me, so I'm just waiting for a spare half hour to try it out as a .war setup.
Any other ideas, I'm all ears.
Please remove the "/" at the end of the URL (https://localhost:8900/contribute/admin/server.cfm/), just type https://localhost:8900/contribute/admin/server.cfm, no need of "/" after .cfm, the admin console will come fine.

I never add the trailing /. It must have gotten added to my history and I never noticed. I just reinstalled and it worked. Of course, I also let it install where it wanted to, so maybe that was it.
