Exported for YouTube - uploaded results not up to par

    sbg59

I've exported media using recommended YouTube settings, Match Sequence Settings, and a tweaked ton of other parameters (bitrate, smaller aspect ratios, etc), but YouTube's processing still results in jittery video with dropped or repeated frames.  I've seen some really good quality videos from others - what am I missing?  Now granted - these videos have a lot of movement, containing pans, tilts and zooms throughout, so I know I'm asking a lot from YouTube.

The raw footage was acquired on JVC GY-HD100U at 720p.

I have 2 samples on YouTube:

      1. PP CS6 Export Settings: YouTube 720p 29.97 fps    -   http://youtu.be/tSvWUtYgBBU

      2. PP CS6 Export Settings: Match Sequence Settings  -     http://youtu.be/n9iX69l7lNM

Another question:  Any suggestions for high quality video hosting?

      Thx!

You've set the videos to Private, which means only YouTube accounts can watch them.  You need to change them to Unlisted.

            changed to "unlisted"...  duh.

It's youtube's fault. Try sending a higher bitrate mp4, that may help a bit. May not.

Yeah, I tried 7.5k, 10k, then 12.5, 15 and finally maxed it out.  got worse and worse actually...    thx for suggestion, worth a try.

Were they shot at the oddball 720p/30 or the standard 720p/60?  Do they also look like this on the computer, or just on YouTube?

Ah-ha!  I'll bet that little change in acquisition would help, wouldn't it!  It's 29.97 fps - all other specs for original media and edited media are listed below as well.  THX, well worth looking into!!!

To answer your 2nd question, though, they playback perfectly on my machine.  And incidentally, Vimeo does a much better job than YouTube - with this clip, anyway...

OK, what are your sequence and export settings?

Sequence settings should match original as soon as I dropped first clip in - correct?  If not, I have the project up now, where would I find that info?

                        Export:

                        Best results were with both

                        1> Match Sequence settings

                        2>PP's included setting of H.264/YouTube/720p 29.97

Its a YT thing. Upload again.

I have uploaded movies more than once to get it right.

I only use a PPro YT preset.
