if your dataProvider array collection is [Bindable], data grid should be updating itself (being a view) every time the underlying collection (the model) is updated.
So is it [Bindable] and NOT working?
yes, it is [Bindable] and not working.
The array collection is from an actionscript class instance.
is this correct?
as long as the ArrayCollection returned by getCE() call is declared is Bindable, it should work!
I have a question along the same line. If in fact the binded arraycollection is being used as a dataprovider then what you are saying is that the changes within the grid are reflected in the arraycollection. Do I then need to loop through my arraycollection to call cfc's that update my db with the changes?
I've been looking at the Icollection class, but I'm somewhat stumped.
oh, absolutely. there is no other way that client side data -- that's currently in your flash player on the client machine -- ends up on your server. for a quick starter, that actually uses JSON, please see:
Hope this helps.
