How do you delete files from the recently opened list?

How do you delete the recent photos from the (file drop down) under recent open ?

On more recent versions of photoshop you should be able to go to File>Open recent and click on Clear Recent File List or Clear Recent

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?

Click on "Clear Recent File List" at the bottom of the list. Is that item not there or does it not work?

I would just like to delete the pictures that I recently worked on out of that file.
