Also, for the future, you need to provide more information when asking a question
These questions below may be for a different product... but the information you need to supply is the same, for the products you use

Many of the resources already mentioned do not seem applicable to your situation which I am reading as an installation problem. You cannot get into the program because of the error message that you posted
Is all of that true? If so, please continue reading:
If this is an issue related to the installation of Premiere Elements 11 Mac on a Mac computer:
a. Did you buy Premiere Elements 11 Mac from the Apple Store
b. Have you checked out the use of logs to try to target the installation issue
Please let us know if any of the above helped or was on the right track.
Still no luck. I read all the threads prior to posting.

I downloaded both PS Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 from Adobe.
I deleted all the documents created by the downloaded and tried installing again. Same error.
What I am about to suggest does not prohibit us from continuing troubleshooting here, but it might be a good idea to involve Adobe Technical Service in this installation issue. As far as I have ever known, it offers free installation troubleshooting for purchased, registered, current version. It is worthwhile to check it out. It may have some undocumented information that will get you moving forward in your Premiere Elements projects.
Was it an Apple Store purchased Premiere Elements 11 Mac that would not install for you? From where did you download the Premiere Elements 11 Mac first time around?
Apparently your latest report is based on download of the tryout from Adobe (a good troubleshooting move).
I am strictly an Elements Windows user. From what I have read, installing an application on a Mac is supposed to be quick and easy as compared to the counterpart on Windows. So, very disturbing to learn of all your problems with Premiere Elements 11 Mac.
We need to attract the attention of some Premiere Elements 11 Mac users here or at Adobe.
I did some online researches. Sample below
That permissions angle looks interesting.
We will be watching for your progress.
I had a similar problem with Premiere 11 that I bought on the AppStore.
For me the solution was missing fonts.
I tend to delete fonts as Apple gives hundreds of fonts.
I guess I deleted a couple of fonts too many.
Have you deleted a lot of your fonts?
I re-installed Mountain Lion to get the fonts back.
Now Premiere works for me.
Re-installing Mountain Lion might fix your problem — what ever it is.
I've tried everything below and received the same error. Is it time to ask for a refund?
Also, go into the main fonts folder and look for AdobeMingStd-light.otf and see if it's an empty folder. If so, delete it.
Re-installed Mountain Lion
If you wish a refund from Adobe, just do so, before 30 days have elapsed. They offer a money-back guarantee, but ONLY for 30 days. Just have your invoice and S/N handly.
Did you include checking out the Mac permissions in your troubleshooting? That sounded so promising.
Please excuse, but I saw the following online article and wondered if you had been there and done that and, being a strictly Windows Elements user, I wondered if it was appropriate for your troubleshooting. But, just in case...
Have you ruled out all the angles on a possible font involvement in your issue as per Ant's success?
