Stephen_Spider May 12, 2013 3:16 AM (in response to 001andrew)I think your post might carry a bit weight if you used a bit of punctuation, or limited the smiley faces to one or two . Regardless, I think a lot of legitimate editors will be looking at other options, be it lightworks or packages with standard licensing choices.
Premiere is my preferred editing software, and while it may eventually make sense for me to upgrade my CS5.5 to a CC subscription for my own freelance contracting business, I'm not happy to do so. I'm not happy with changes in CS6 and I'm not in favor of subscription over owning. However, the subscription model is a poor choice for the non profit where I work. There it would be well more expensive for us, as there is no tax advantage, and in the past we would only upgrade licences every two to three releases. There are six editing seats there and we will have to discuss if we want to keep them Adobe editing system or start shopping.
I really think this sucks because I've been settled and happy with Premiere for years. I don't want to deal with change.
