The codec is currently AVdn. Need to change to H.264
Moved from the Creative Cloud to the Premiere Pro forum. They will be able to help you here.
Not quite what I was looking for. Thanks though
Hi. I need to convert a PAL mov file exported from Avid...
The codec is currently AVdn.
This might be a truncated name for the Avid DNxHD codec.
Here is where you can download Avid codecs (free):
Once installed, you will be able to import any Avid codec file
directly into Premiere without transcoding.
Thanks joe bloe premiere.
Solved the issue.
Completely random question now...do you know if in australia, they call b-roll "wilds?"
I know the term in the context of audio...
"wild lines" = extra or alternate off-camera takes from the talent.
I guess there might be a comparative nomenclature in Aussieland?
There are a couple of Kiwis here that might know.
Cool. Just wondering. Thanks again
Just a side note...
now that you have the Avid DNxHD codecs installed,
they will also appear as an export codec option under
Quicktime codecs in Media Encoder.
Copy that. Thanks again sir
