Do you have to download every program twice?

With CC, if you run it on two PC's - I assume this is still allowed - do you have to download the installer for the whole suite twice - one for each PC?

Or, can you download it all on one PC and use the installation exe file on the second PC?

My second PC doesn't have a good internet connection (it's enough to validate / register the programs) and won't, therefore, be able to download all of the programs without waiting over a day!

Anyone had any experience of this?

Hi MissTeacher,
you need to download the application on that machine as well so that you can install it. Adobe application manager(AAM) will download the product you wish to install on these machine once you click on "Install" in AAM.

Hmmmmmmm. That seems like a deal breaker. If the full suite of programs weighs in at around 6- 7gb, then I won't be able to install the full suite on the second PC owing to the aforementioned terrible internet speed on that PC. It's only connected to the internet by a 3G dongle.

Why is it not possible to download the full suite on one PC and transfer the exe files to the second PC? That is how it has always worked previously.

Taking a guess here and thinking it may have something to do with the huge numbers of pirated copies of the various adobe applications out there. It might make piracy a bit more inconvinient.

Hi,
You can use a workaround here to download CS6 applications from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html and install it on both of your machines.
after installing you need to click on "License this software" and login with your Adobe ID and password on which you have purchased the subscription.

However products like Lightroom will not be able to license if it is installed as a trial.

I am sorry i misunderstood your query. For the next version we will be having Creative cloud Packager and you can download it at one machine and install on other machines.

Hello M Sruthers,

Just like kapil said above, we shall have CCP - Creative Cloud Package Installer coming up, that should be of great help, along with other softwares.
Plus if that doesn't work, then the workaround will be to Copy and then Paste the downloaded file on Desktop from the %temp% location.

Hello - I have installed a CC trial this morning but I can't see the LINK that you refer to that allows me to download the CC so that I only need to download it once. I want to be able to then install on a second PC without a good internet connection - it's good enough to validate the programs are legitimate but not to download all the programs again.

Have you got the link that you referred to earlier?

Missteach, there is no such link for CC apps, you need to login to creative.adobe.com and download the applications from there.

Hello - I'm getting confused now. Answer 6 above stated I would be able to download the programs only once so that I can transfer to the other PC with a restricted internet signal.

I think that the confusion comes from the wording "for the next version" If I'm not mistaken, the CCP is not yet available, and it will only be distributed trough customer service.

Correct, CCP is not yet available - however if Missteach contacts Customer Service they can arrange something else to help her, provided she doesn't mind waiting a couple of days for it to arrive .

our admins have to install this stuff on few dozend PC´s.

you should hear them.
the most asked question today is, if only ret*rds work for adobe.. sorry but it´s the truth.

with CS6 we have a volume license and a special installer for the workstation.

now we have DOZEND of single installers to deal with.

so when will this CCP be available?

what about releasing stuff in a way so it´s not a complete mess for the customers?

proves me right again that CC is a complete mess and will only get worse.

After many, many, many hours, I am now half way through installing CC programs on my main PC but want to install onto the second PC too (the one without a good internet connection).

Is there any update as to when the installation CD / DVD will be available?

The previous reply by Dave Merchant states 'contact Customer Service they can arrange something else to help her, provided she doesn't mind waiting a couple of days for it to arrive'. I don't mind waiting a couple of days! It would take longer to install the programs on the other PC anyway!

Is there an email address for Customer Service?'

Does anyone know how I access the installers as referenced by others here? I asked LiveChat yesterday but they said there was no such thing and I should buy CC. When I said I have bought CC they ended LiveChat!

There is no easy way to download the installers for the CC products directly from Adobe, but there is a third party solution for the CC release here: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html
