Try searching for, and deleting, all Adobefnt*.lst files you find where * is a two digit number.
Hey Peter, thanks for quick response.
Have searched and can't find any on computer.
Looking at this some more since I posted my earlier message, I think this is actually a wider, infuriating issue with Windows 8.
For example, I installed 'Biergarten' a couple of weeks ago, then deleted it again.
- Yet in InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel etc, it's still showing the font as available (though when you click on it in any of these applications, it doesn't work).
- I have just tried re-installing this font again and it says it's already on the system, though doesn't show in the Fonts Folder.
So for some reason, Windows thinks I've got fonts which I haven't. I cannot find ANY information on this anywhere on the internet.
Appreciate this is an Adobe Forum, so no worries if no one can help...but any advice appreciated.

I'm not a Win8 user, but I expect the font list is stored inthe registry.
In Windows 7 it looks like the list is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
to find the .lst files you may need to include hidden and system files in the search.
Woops - never replied! Thank you Peter, this was a great help.
