You might try deactivating and reactivating.
Thanks for the response. It appears my problem is bigger than Indesign. When I went to deactivate, the box informed me that I was deactivating the Production Premium Suite. I didn't deactivate.
I do have a Production Premium license in another location. It was never installed on this laptop - originally I had a Master CS 5 full, then 5.5 upgrade, and then a CS6 upgrade.
I tried putting in my Master CS6 serial key in Indesign to register it. Then it wanted the CS5.5 key - it accepted the cS6 key but not the CS5.5 key.
