I have a straight-forward tabloid size inDesign file with a single page and a single image on that page. I am hoping to pirnt this on an uncoated fine art rag paper (with matte black)
I choose print > Page setup and I change the paper size to '11 x 17 Rear manual tray' (as the directions from the manufacturer suggest)
Under the printer settings I make sure that the paper type is set to 'Velvet fine art' (again as directed by the manufacturer). When I choose 'Velvet Fine art" it automatically shows that the black ink it will print is matte black.
I then turn the driver color settings off.
When back in the main print dialog box, I chose the profile for my paper (which also shows matte black in the title - and has been verfied by the manufacturer). Upon printing, the printer automatically switches ink from matte black to Photo Black.
