1. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
Jeff_Coatsworth May 21, 2013 8:27 AM (in response to mattrsullivan)Yes & there's some tweak that you can do to change it, but I can't recall what it was - something to do with the Conversion Settings about Topic name markers? I think somebody on the TCS blog wrote about it once.
BTW - book arrived this morning! I see it cost you a small fortune to mail it (LOL)

2. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
mattrsullivan May 21, 2013 8:37 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Hmm, hadn't changed that setting (ever), but I'll go check it out, thx!
Yep, turns out the only way to ship to CAN these days is via air. And that book is not light!
Next time, I'll send CAN thank-you's via letter, and ship the book directly thru Amazon!

3. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
mattrsullivan May 21, 2013 6:19 PM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)I'm pretty sure that was in reference to setting Topic Title markers...not something I want to do in a 700 page book!
More info: The book processes and validates a clean EPUB if I omit the index, and throws 300+ errors when I include the index.
Via Notepad++. the index shows <section name=(the project name)>, so I imagine it's taking offense at the eleventy-six files with the exact same topic identifier.
Anyone seen this before??

4. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
mattrsullivan May 21, 2013 6:21 PM (in response to mattrsullivan)Also, there's an extra TOC at the end of the EPUB, which (in a perfect world) I'd like to eliminate.

5. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
Jeff_Coatsworth May 22, 2013 5:46 AM (in response to mattrsullivan)Here's the post I was thinking about - http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2009/06/robohelpframemaker_integration_some_tips.html it appears it does more than just paginate?

6. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
mattrsullivan May 22, 2013 7:48 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Yes, there's more info on indexing and image generation, but the TopicName marker is a manual fix, and needs to be implemented by hand for each topic, where you spec the title and filename by hand. Great if you need it, but I just want it to autogen like it always has...
Guess it's time to set up a test file and confirm "normal" behavior!

8. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
Jeff_Coatsworth May 22, 2013 7:52 AM (in response to mattrsullivan)I wonder if trying an import (vs. linking) would have any differences to the appearance?

9. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
Jeff_Coatsworth May 22, 2013 8:08 AM (in response to mattrsullivan)Sorry, I've got nothing to help you on the EPUB issues - maybe Willam can steer you in the right direction?

10. Re: linked content using RH project name for topic title instead of FM file/heading name
mattrsullivan May 22, 2013 9:37 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)SS/DD (Same Solution/Different Day)
"When in doubt, take a 1/2 hour and recreate your RoboHelp project from scratch"
Guess I shoulda taken heed of my own advice. Now that I have a new project, the Topic Title is no longer an issue.
Look for a blog post on mattrsullivan.com in the next few days for important details discovered in the EPUB process.
