1. Re: Track Matte Key- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
Qengineering May 22, 2013 8:51 AM (in response to ellemichelle)I had a nearly identical problem about 2 months ago but since I could not reproduce the problem in a new sequence I gave up investigating further.
Try copy & pasting (all or in sections) from your original sequence into a new sequence.

Peru Bob May 22, 2013 10:20 AM (in response to ellemichelle)Track matte will only work properly if the media settings match the sequence settings.

3. Re: Track Matte Key- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
ellemichelle May 28, 2013 12:22 PM (in response to Peru Bob)Yes, the settings all match.
I was able to use it properly after copying and pasting into a new timeline. I'm curious to know what the problem was to begin with, but I'm glad it works on a new timeline.
Thanks!

nyumeddei Jun 4, 2013 12:07 PM (in response to ellemichelle)i am having the same issue. it was working fine a few minutes before, and then, after making a title, the premiere crashed and i havent been able to make a track matte since.
this should be pretty basic. Adobe, please fix this.

Ann Bens Jun 4, 2013 12:16 PM (in response to nyumeddei)Import project into a new project and see if you can make a track matte again.

bdrummer67 Jan 16, 2014 1:03 AM (in response to ellemichelle)I had the same problem, and I just moved the mask (a white dot I made in the Titler) up to the next timeline and it worked there.

bdrummer67 Jan 16, 2014 1:36 AM (in response to bdrummer67)...or I should say, layer. I moved my mask up to the next layer on the timeline (and of course, on the layer with the modified video, for Track Matte Key, I changed the layer it would affect). So far so good.
