//Text23 is a calculation to determine if 3 or fewer checkboxes have been selected
//everything works... the app.alerts, the variable, etc... except the presence=visible command
The button "submitButton" is hidden. The idea is that it will become visible only if three or fewer boxes are checked.
This code runs when a button "checkButton" is mouse up.
Ideas are welcomed. Thank you.
app.alert("Value for choices is "+ choices);
if (choices > 3)
app.alert("You have selected more than 3 choices.");
app.alert("You have selected 3 choices.");
The presence field property is used with XFA forms created in LiveCycle Designer, not Acroforms created in Acrobat. For the latter, you'd use the display field property: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.700.html
getField("submitButton").display = display.visible;
You'd have a similar line for when it should be hidden (choices > 3).
Thank you, sir!
yes... the end; statement was a desperate attempt to try something else.
