tracking the time on an SWF file

I have an SWF file in my director projector. I was wondering if it is possible to track the swf file's timeline so that at particular frames I can populate a text block with some text.

This is similar to the DirectMediaXtra for MPEGS where u can set keyframes and track those frames on the exitframe handlers. If it has passed by a keyframes, a particular block of text is populated.

Is this possible with SWF files or do I need to find another route?
