I was sent a bunch of InDesign CS6 documnets and the "Baseline Grid" and "Documet Grid" are showing. I openned the documnets in InDesign CS6 on my end and turned off the "Baseline Grid" and "Documet Grid", and then saved the documnets. When I open them the next time the Grids are showing again. How do you make those grids not appear again everytime I open the documents?
Update: What I found is that you can't just open the documnet and hide the grids and do a save and close it. You have to also make a change to something in the document like move a image. Then when you save it and re-open the document the grid won't show anymore. Weird!
This is driving me nuts. It seems to be in my program not the file because the grid does not show up when someone else opens the file from our server.
You are absolutely right and this works. I was wondering why sometimes it went away when I reopened a file and other times it did not. I don't understand why this is not controlled by the preferences.
