This might be a tangent, but I would be more tempted to ask for a better built in method of managing keyboard shortcuts. The way this is done in Premiere works well as one station can handle different preferences for multiple users and I know that I can immediately load my preferences onto any new station I encounter. KeyEd Up is good, but I can't guarantee any station I use has it, or that I won't be in danger of messing up someone else's keybindings.
This won't answer the question of how to change the default keybinds, but it gives Adobe the option to let us play around with bindings much easier and see if we gravitate towards something congruent. For myself, I can't tell what keybindings are going to be my preferred until I actually sit down and use them.
In CInema 4D you cansave your work layout (animation, modeling, et al)to say, a thumbdrive. You can then load up the way you would like to work. Has Adobe approached this model?
